As a famous American writer, Mark Twain, once said, “Everybody talks about weather, but nobody anything about it.” It is true that everybody talks about the weather. Many people
their talks by saying, “Isn’t it a nice ?” “Do you think it will rain?” “I think it’s going to snow.”
A large number of people think they can tell the weather is going to be like. However, they ever agree with each other. One man may say, “Do you see how cloudy it is in the east? It’s going to rain tomorrow.” Another man say, “Yes, it’s cloudy in the east. We are going to have fine weather tomorrow.”
People often look for the weather they want. When a farmer needs water, he looks for something to tell him it’s going to rain and he won’t believe else. When friends have a picnic, they are so the weather is going to be fine that they sit their lunch while it is raining.
Almost everyone listens to what the weatherman says. But he doesn’t always tell us what we want and sometimes he makes a mistake. Still, he is most of the time.

◆If you are trapped in a place, you may make noises by knocking at the rocks. But don’t shout all the time. You could be without help for up to 72 hours. Try to find some water and food.

When I got older, I thought the most important thing was music. I was crazy about music at that time. To me, if I couldn’t sing or listen to music, my life would be boring.
When I was 12, I read a book that tells a beautiful story about the love between a mother and her child. I was happy to find that love was the most important thing. I thought love made my life beautiful.
Not long ago, I got a new answer to the question from another book. “Happiness is the destination(目標) for everyone.” the writer said.
Soon I began to understand friendship, music, love and happiness are all very important to us. These important things make our lives colourful and beautiful.

In North America, most students go to school on the school bus. Some students also walk or ride bikes to school. In the other parts of the world, things are different. In Japan, most students take trains to school, although others also walk or ride their bikes. In China, it depends on where you are. In big cities, students usually ride bikes to school or take buses. And in places where there are rivers and lakes, like Hongshanhu and Kaishandao, students usually go to school by boat. That must be a lot more fun than taking a bus.
